ACDC – Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control

ACDC – Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control includes the theoretical and practical components of three (3) units of competency chosen by the Department of Primary industries to meet skills and knowledge required to be able to apply to hold an ACDC unrestricted Licence.

This course consists of three (3) units of competency that make up the skill set;

AHCPMG301A Control Weeds, AHCCHM303A Prepare and Apply Chemicals and AHCCHM304A Transport, handle and store chemicals

Areas of learning include the following:

  • the skills and knowledge to identify and apply and reporting control weeds methods;
  • hazard and risk management;
  • prepare, apply and safely use chemicals;
  • calibration;
  • MSDS use;
  • chemical records;
  • and spray plans;
  • transportation, chemical management and storage.

To successfully complete this course you will need to:

  • Attend all daily sessions
  • Complete all theory assessment booklets self assessment booklet
  • Participate in and complete practical assessments.

A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued to successful candidates.

This course would apply to workers in agriculture, horticulture or land management-based enterprises who are required to carry out the control of weed infestations using cultural, biological and chemical methods to provide effective, economical control of weeds while minimising damage to the environment.
